might have perforated ear drum. try heat and Ibuprofen 400mg if not allergic, if you have hearing loss or ringing, need to be seen. Probably have inner or middle ear infection along with the cold, can try Afrin to decongest. They are very painful. May need antibiotics or ear drops. See ENT doc

Good dynamic range of the drum kit, features (such as tonal changes depending on where you stike the drums, ability to trigger rims, etc) and various adjustments to the position of the pads on the kit as you want to be comfortable when playing. Also look for adjustable sound options so you can have full control over what sound comes out of your drum pad when you hit it

The ion Rocker is a better kit and can also be used as a real electronic kit by adding the Alesis DM5 controller

Some would say so. In a three-piece kit the hanging tom has been called the high tom, and the floor tom the low tom.However, this can change with a four-piece kit. I play a 10-13-16-28 kit (yeah, it's unusual, but so am I), so my 10" tom is my high tom, the 13" is the low tom, and the 16" is the floor tom. The 28" bass drum is just the MOABs....

Do not put it in the corner of a room. Try to put it in the center and as the other person said get some pads to put in the bass and snare and low,med and high drums. Best thing though is to just jam out in the middle of the day when most people are at work :P

midiman is right, in a way. in the 20s and 30s, a lot of big-band and jazz drummers played "percussion", meaning all sorts of drums and percussion accesories. they usually stood up while they played and sometimes multiple people were in the percussion section. soon after came the invention of the drum kit, or trap set. the phrase "trap set" was short for "contraptions" since these drummers would usually have their standard drum kit, plus still had a whole bunch of other things like cowbell, wood block, chimes, etc. but the trap kit configuration, where youre surrounded by the drums, never really became popularized until the beatles played on ed sullivan. after that is when the drum set boom began. so really, he was a pioneer of his instrument. sure maybe he didnt play the most complicated stuff, but he was blazing the trail for drummers all over the world, and thats why ringo rules lol
